Welcome to North Kingstown Educational Foundation's 2023 Reading Madness Challenge page. We are raising money for projects that further students’ educational experiences that complements the existing curricula and extracurricular activities.Teaching and learning initiatives that go beyond the scope of those funded by the public schools of North Kingstown. Examples of Grant Recipients & Projects: Outdoor Classroom at Quidnessett Elementary School, Art Supplies at Fishing Cove, “One Book, One School” project at Wickford Middle School, Literacy materials at Hamilton Elementary School and Special Education manipulatives at Davisville Academy.

Earn 2 points for your school's team by registering on the PledgeStar fundraiser site and sending out five pledge requests.
Log 20 minutes of reading on at least one day to earn 3 points for your team and an NKEF wave decal sticker.
Log 20 minutes of overtime reading on the weekend to earn your team 4 points.
Every $20 in donations will earn your school's team 5 points.
Log 20 minutes of reading a day for at least 3 days (60 minutes total) to earn 6 points for your team and a fidget toy.
Log 20 minutes of reading a day for at least 5 days (100 minutes total) to earn 10 points for your team and a mini logoed basketball.
Log 20 minutes of reading a day for at least 8 days (160 minutes total) to earn 16 points for your team and a NKEF Reading Madness Challenge t-shirt.
Log 20 minutes of reading a day for at least 10 days (200 minutes total) to earn 20 points for your team and a drawstring bag of books.
The school team with the most registered readers by March 20th will get 50 bonus points!
The top MVP fundraiser and reader will earn an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet (32 GB)! The 2nd place fundraiser and reader will earn an Amazon Fire 7 tablet (16 GB)!
The 3rd and 4th place school teams (by score) will receive a $250 literacy grant.
The runner up (2nd place) school team will receive a $500 literacy grant.
The tournament champions (1st place) will receive a $1,000 literacy grant.
